Happy Easter Everyone

We are having dinner at our house this Easter. It will be our first Easter Dinner without my daddy. Boy I miss him. Sunday morning we will be heading off to Church and then my mom will be coming to join us for dinner. No other family will be with us this year so it will be pretty simple and casual. We will have your average Easter Meal consisting of ham, vegetable casserole, calico beans, 7 layer salad, deviled eggs and let's not forget the most important part of our meal, dessert. That lineup will include cheesecake and pumpkin pie. Boy I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I thought I would share a couple of treats with you that I made last night. I got my inspiration for the Chocolate Birds Nests from Debbie at Ribbonwood Cottage. I just love her postings. I brought a few of these to work to share as well. No sense me eating them all. Don't they look yummy?

My daughter is on Spring Break this coming week so hopefully I can take a day off work and spend it with her. Maybe we can do lunch or something fun together. Hubby can still go to work and my son can go to school. It will just be a girls day out. I think that sounds like fun. Maybe we can even take in some summer clothes shopping. Now this sounds like a perfect day off to me.
Well I better run. It's off to work on Good Friday.

Until Next Time....

Anxiously Awaiting Summer

I just love Day lilies. My mother in law and I dug these up along the roadside at the front of our property three or so years ago. They have multiplied a great deal so I have transplanted small sections all throughout my flower beds.
I seem to have the most luck with hanging baskets of ferns on the front porch. We get full sun most of the day and these seem to hold up pretty good.

This is my flower bed on the left side of the house facing the front. Fresh mulch sure does have a way of making the flower beds look better doesn't it?

We re-stained the side deck a warm butterscotch color and I just love the way it turned out. The deck furniture also got a fresh coat of brown paint as well. It saved on having to buy new furniture if nothing else.

Just another view of the deck. See that 5th wheel in the background? I personally can't wait to get out in that baby and start doing some camping. More on that subject later.

Well that's all for now. I hope these bright and cheery summer pictures will help perk up any fellow bloggers that are tired of the cold and dreary days we have been having so far this Spring. I am so ready for summer and all the beautiful colors it brings with it.

Warm Smiles,

Newbie Here

Good afternoon Fellow Bloggers.

This is my first post and I'm a bit scared. I have been following some of my favorite Blogs for some time now and today I decided to take the first step in creating a Blog of my own. I hope to have some interesting things to share in the near future. I love Prim Decorating and taking care of my family.

Until next time have a Glorious Day.
