Outside Pretties

Isn't summer one of the most beautiful seasons!! I just love everything when it is in full bloom. This weekend was very productive for my hubby and I. I got most of my garden weeding done and my husband managed to get the extra water we needed for the pool so we he finally getting it ready for summer. I know it should have already been done but between track and softball, we just never seemed to find the time. Things are finally starting to slow down so we figured we better get busy or it wasn't going to happen.

As I walked around outside, I thought I would snap a few pictures of my favorite flowers and arrangements. This is just a basket sitting on my front porch. Don't mind the fishing box and the boots. My son thinks this is where his things go.

Here is another potted arrangement. Can you believe there is only one flower blooming in the whole thing. I don't know if it got in there by accident or if one flower was all that was potted.

I love chairs whether inside my home or outside. I think this looks so sweet with the welcome sign and milk can sitting beside it.

This is just a shot of some of my Tiger Lilies. I am waiting for them to bloom. They are just on the verge of of bursting open so it won't be long.

This is my most favorite chair. My mother in law gave me an old rocker that was beyond repair. She knew I would come up with an idea for using it. My hubby cut a whole out in the seat and here you have it, a flowering rocker.

This rock is very interesting. It came from a quarry. The hole in the center was made by a drill. I got this from a friend at work. Very interesting don't you think. Again don't mind the garden hose in the back. I think I forgot to put that one away.

This is another favorite of mine. An old bucket with a grapevine handle. Geraniums are one of my favorite summer flowers.

Last but not least up in the air. No I don't have a blimp in my yard but it did fly over our house this afternoon when I was out there with my camera so I thought I would snap a picture of it. It looked like I could have reached up and touched it. They fly over our house all the time it seems.

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as we did. I hope this week we get some rain. We put in our garden a few weeks back and I am getting tired of having to water it. Please Lord send down the rain.

Blessings to all.

  8. Hello Amy!....Thank you for visiting my blog!....I appreciate very much your comment about my sideboard....I know it looks like there's a door but it's actually just two large drawers and I don't think I could bare altering it in any way because it's so beautiful to me just the way it is and I'm hoping that someone will love it as much as I do....I don't know if the cottage/shabby chic style is popular elsewhere in the country but it sure is around where I live so I'm hoping it will all work out....thanks again for stopping by!
