Just Desserts

It has been a very busy week for me but I'll spare you the details. Tonight didn't let up either. Last night I found out our new pastor and his family wanted to stop over for a visit this evening after dinner. I thought I should whip up some adult and kid friendly desserts just to be hospitable. Long story short, last night after getting home from church around 8:30, here is what I decided we would have.

Who doesn't love cheesecake! Mom this one is for you. I made one for Memorial Day and mom evidently didn't get a big enough piece. She has been begging for another since Monday.

I thought the kids might like something a little different so I made some chocolate chip bar cookies and some brownies.

Here we have your basic cut up cantaloupe just in case someone wants something figure friendly. This cantaloupe was so fresh. It made the whole kitchen smell wonderful. I think everyone should be able to find something they like.

Looking forward to some good conversation and maybe a little devotion.

Have a great evening friends.

  9. Hello Amy,
How wonderful of you to not only open your home up to your new pastor but to prepare desserts for him and his family.
You are a Proverbs 31 woman.
I trust your mother was able to get a piece of cheesecake....things like that are very important to them when they are up in age...you will be blessed for taking care of her....to many people don't care about their aged parents or maybe just can't...my mil and fil took care of their parents in their home...my mothers parents both passed in the hospital.
    have a blessed week Amy
