Finally Some Good Goodwill Finds

I'm always stopping by our local Goodwill to see if I might stumble upon some good finds. Up until last week I have never found anything that was worth buying to re-do. Finally I did get lucky my last stop. I bought maybe 7 different wooden pieces that I thought I might be able to transform or for a lack of a better word, "Primerize". I know that is not a word but I really think I like it. Say it a few times to yourself. I think you will like it as well. Anyways I am not the most confident painter but I decided to take a stab at it and see what I could do or rather re-do with these pieces. Here are 2 of the pieces I have finished so far. I think maybe I need to re-tweak them some more but for now I can live with them.

If you have any suggestions on how I can make these look better, I would really appreciate your input. Any painting advice would be greatly welcomed as well. I mainly put on a base color and then maybe a second color. I sand in my wear spots and then I either stain over the whole piece or apply a clear lacquer spray.

We are having some really wet weather this week so maybe I will find some more time to get a few more of my pieces done. Hopefully I will remember to take pictures of them and I will post them as I finish them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and don't forget to take time out of your busy day to tell someone just how much you love them.

Blessings Friends,
~AMY~
